Early travelers to the West
found the indigenous residents to be exceptional businesspeople and that the
Tribes were very interested in trade and commerce. Just like Montana's Big
Sky, some things do not change. We see visitors from around the world.
We are still interested in trade and commerce and sharing of cultures.
Live
the adventure of Montana's Big Sky Country --

tour guides who will share their unique insight into the people, places and
events of Montana history.

Montana's
American Indian artisans are among the very best in the world. American
Indian artwork is a celebration of the connection between all things made by the
Creator. If you want to celebrate with us we have provided a constantly
updated
listing
of American Indian artisans and art groups for you to consider.

Purchasing American Indian arts & crafts is an
important part of many visits to Big Sky Country. We
hope that all Montana
travelers take home some quality piece of real American Indian work.
Our
artisans are without peer in the world. However there are those who would
attempt to mislead buyers with low quality, cheaply made imitations.
There are laws which govern the sale of American Indian arts and crafts,
which the Montana Tribal Tourism Alliance strongly support. These laws are
important in protecting the integrity of Native American artwork, but also in
helping to build local economies in American Indian communities in Montana and
other States.
The Montana Tribal Tourism Alliance is
not responsible for business arrangements and transactions made with any vendor
except MTTA Heritage Tours.
